TK Maxx is the only major brick-and-mortar off-price retailer of significant size in Europe.
The brand’s stores are light and modern with a lean, no-frills design, giving customers space to shop and get spectacular savings.
The business is recognised in the UK and Ireland as a leading fashion retailer with over 340 stores, and has a strong presence in Germany which is home to some of the highest volume stores in the company.
This year, TK Maxx will open its 100th German store, and will end 2016 with over 500 stores throughout Europe. In Poland, due to
steady growth, TK Maxx has become a favourite destination for exciting fashion and brands.
Gijs Van Dedem of Cushman & Wakefield who is advising TK Maxx on its expansion in The Netherlands comments: “Following new store openings last year in the Netherlands and Austria, this hugely-successful retailer is now trading in six European countries. This fast pace of store openings in Europe is set to continue in the future to further strengthen TK Maxx’s position in Europe and capitalise on first-mover advantages in new markets, with many exciting opportunities ahead”.
TK Maxx is looking for retail units of 1,400-3,600 sq m across Europe, ideally in shopping centres or on busy high streets. They also have a particular interest in establishing stores on retail parks and stand-alone sites, leasehold or freehold.
