Lidl makes future store plans

Lidl makes future store plans

Lidl UK, Britain’s fastest-growing supermarket*, promoted its new ‘lidl of the future’ store concept at a series of roadshow events across the uk this spring in partnership with completely events.

Lidl opened the doors of the first Lidl of the Future store in Rushden, Northamptonshire last November and has since opened LOF stores across the UK in cities and towns including Nottingham, Skegness, Birmingham and, most recently, Hull. The launch coincided with the retailer announcing a new significant expansion investment across the next three years, aiding its ambitious growth plans.

Our new concept store represents the future of Lidl UK

Lidl UK’s Board Director of Property and Expansion, Ingo Fischer, commented: “We are extremely excited about our brand new concept store, which represents the future of Lidl UK. This is yet another milestone for us in providing the infrastructure needed to manage our increasing market share and the expectations of our growing and incredibly-valued customer base who have, quite rightfully, come to expect the very best of us.”

Completely Events, part of The Completely Group worked with Lidl to design the roadshows, which took place in eight cities across the UK, and produced all the required collateral and presentation materials.

Rebecca Sawyer of Completely Events, commented: “Lidl approached us to work on a UK-wide roadshow to promote their regional property requirements to local agents, landlords and developers. The events – in Southampton, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and London – were extremely successful and substantially raised market awareness of Lidl’s expansion programme.”
